SQL*NET V2

I am running SQL*NET v1 and v2 on AIX, I have no trouble connecting to the
DB with V1 but V2 gives me the following ERROR:



 ERROR: ORA-12500: TNS:listener failed to start a dedicated server process



Can anybody help.
