Hello,
I'm trying to install ORACLE 8.0.5 on linux kernel 2.0.35 Red Hat 5.1. But I
get the following error msg.
lnx_server.805.ins(268):WRITE-ERROR while trying to copy
/usr2/oracle/ora8/unixdoc/server.805/install/lnx-server.805.map to
/usr2/oracle/ora8/orainst/usr2/oracle/app/oracle/product/8.0.5/doc/server
(no such file or directory)
Retry or ignore the error allow the error to be processed by the installer?
[steps]
1. Get file from ftp://ftp.oracle.com. 2. Add group dba and user oracle. 3. Set env variables in /etc/profile. ORACLE_HOME=/usr2/oracle/8.0.5 ORACLE_BASE=/usr2/oracle ORACLE_OWNER=oracle ORACLE_TERM=vt100 ORACLE_SID=ORA7
After progressing about 90%, the error occurs and quits installing. What is
the problem with this?
Looking forward to any advice soon...
Thanks.
