AIX kernel ext. (pw-syscall4.2)

I'm running aix 4.2.1 with OR7.3.3.6 Parallel Server. I'm trying to figure out why SMON on both nodes just spins away acquiring time and cycling through US and TA locks ( Undo segment serialization and Transaction recovery respectively ) forever.

One thing I've noticed is that the pw-syscall file looks to be specific to version 4.1.X of the OS. Since I'm running 4.2 and this file contains a kernel extention, shouldn't there be one specific to my OS?

Any suggestions?
