Hello,

A ProC software connects to an oracle database on a windows NT machine. The software and the database are running on the same machine. So SqlNet is not installed.
For the moment, the software uses the registry key ORACLE_SID. It works fine because there is only one database running on the server. In the case of two databases the ORACLE_SID registry key points on one of the
two databases at the same time.

My question is :
How can I do to make the software connect to the database without using the ORACLE_SID registry key ?
If possible, a solution without installing SqlNet.

Thanks
