DataBase Password

A colleague recently installed Personal Oracle 7. When he starts up (after being asked for username and password) PO7 asks him for a database password. He does not remember setting this and does not know what to do. As he no longer has the disk available to him (we only keep 1 copy in Scotland) can anyone advise what he can do to use PO7? Are there and control files I can email him which will correct this problem?
