ORA-07429: smsgsg: shmget() failed to get segment (?!)

Have you ever gotten one of those weird error messages that just doesn't make sense?

Below is an ORA-07429 I'm getting. Normally, I'd start the database if someone was getting this message. But it's already running. Not only that, just ONE user gets it, not the rest of us (Unix user ID, that is, not Oracle). And we only get it for ONE database. If I change the SID to another database, it works fine. I've double checked the environment, the spelling on the SID, permissions on files, etc. Everything SEEMS to check out okay. It'll even work fine if I set TWO_TASK.

I'm about optioned out... Anyone have a suggestion? I'd appreciate it...
