I hawe upgrated from HP9000 G50 ( PA7100 ) to HP9000 K260 ( PA8000) but dont get the performance win i expected ?

The figures from HP indicate aprox 4 - 8 times the performance, but i can only messure 2 - 4 times.

Compiling a pro-c program runs 4 times faster ( ok due to disk operations )

Import of a full Oracle database runs 4 times faster ( ok due to disk operations )

But , several pro-c programs and sql-procedures that runs in memory, without any havy use of disk only runs about 2 times faster.

The only differens on the to mashines is the processor.

HP-UX 10.20 with extension april-98 on both Oracle server 7.1.6.2.0
Seems it is the same in Oracle 7.3.3.5.1

The pro-c programs have been re-compiled on the new mashine !

Oracle have messured on the databases, an says that it seems that the K260 database makes more internal stuff ???

Any sugesstion
