sqlnet v3.3 Helpppppp Please

im running sqlnet v2.3.3 with database links between 7.1.6 and 7.3.3.5 rdbms comms from 716 to 7335 is fine but not from 7.3.3.5 to 7.1.6 without having an entry in sqlnet.ora 'sqlnet.authentication.services = (none)'. However when this parameter is set I cannot connect as internal or identify users externally. Catch 22 ! Any ideas anybody ? please help if you can.
