This worked like a charm! Thank you! I modified MAXDATAFILES in the trace file and removed the REUSE (because the new control file is > than the old.) I had already modified init.ora to have db_files = 200. I brought up the database, created a test tablespace and started adding datafiles until I had exceeded the original limit of 30.
