round robin dns and oracle?

Hi;
As a decleared ignorant, i humbly submit the following question: is it possiable to use round robin dns as a load balancer between unix machines running ora 8.0.5. i understand that there might be a problem with the SID, that must be unique. is there a way to over come it? is the idea worth working on?
