Re: DBSHUT errors on HP-UX: dbshut[56]: /tmp/sh1603.13 cannot open

The permissions on / are ok but /tmp should be drwxrwxrwx owner bin bin. Oracle would not be able to create a file in /tmp right now unless it was a member of group sys which you do not want to do.
