Remedy (docs and the software!) assume that you know nothing about Oracle, and consequently do strange things. The worst I have seen is to internally handle an "unable to allocate extent" error by dynamically adding a file to the tablespace, and putting the file in $ORACLE_HOME/dbs. Of course if it doesn't fit....

Oh, and watch out for the meaningful table names!
