for a one-day training event:

One Day Training Event , October 13th, 1998

                            Featuring Author Steven Feuerstein

                                            Presented by

                                     The Ohio Oracle Users Group

Day Class Title: Oracle Built-in Packages

The built-in packages provided by Oracle Corporation extend the PL/SQL language in exciting, new directions. By utilizing built-in packages, you can execute dynamic SQL statements, read and write operating system files, execute host commands and C programs, issue database alerts, analyze memory utilization in your session, debug and trace program execution, manipulate raw data and large objects, and ... the list goes on and on.

Of course, all that technology can be bewildering and hard to put to use effectively. This class introduces you to the built-in packages, and then moves quickly from an overview to detailed coverage of several of the most commonly-used packages. We also examine how to build your own packages on top of the built-in packages to make this technology more accessible.
