SQL*Net encountered an abnormal error and terminated.

Usually generated by the server. In that case you'll get a message in the alert.log file, and a reference to trace file with more info.

Can also be a client error, in which case you had some kind of protocol timeout or unexpected protocol error. In this case, activate the client tracing and retry the operation.
