renaming database

Hi all,

I am not a DBA, I am a Developer. Since our DBA is no longer with us, I have to take care of some DBA Activities, which is quite new for me. Could anyone tell me how to rename a Database name ? We have 2 Database in 2 machines but with same Database name. Due the requirement of the application we want to make one of them as a replicate Database. In application actualy we already differensiate the name of main database (i.e. master) and the replicate (i.e. repsite). Currently those 2 database are with same name (i.e.master). How to rename one of them to repsite ?
