DBWR spinning on NT4.0 (Oracle 8.04)

All,

Anyone else gettings problems with DBWR eating up 100% cpu time using Oracle 8.04 on NT 4.0 (SP3) Alpha version?

This is happening when a user performs an insert into a table. The DBWR races reading data, even after the users session has been killed. No triggers exist on this table, so I know it's nothing to do with that. LGWR is idle too. The only way to stop the racing condition is to stop the OracleServiceSID service and restart it.

Any ideas?

Jason. Received on Fri Aug 21 1998 - 07:15:09 CDT
