how to backup 1GB datafiles

hi,

I'm newbie in this case, but I have one question, how is the best way to make hot and cold backup from database, which grow 2x1GB datafile per month...

another problem .. after time disk storage for this database is full, how to move some datafile's on the other storage place (such a tape array) ? (sometimes someone may want to access data stored on moved datafiles)
