I think you're right, just from reading the "downgrade" data dictinary scripts in $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin. Drop 7.3 to 7.2 and so on appears to mainly be changes in views and so on.

In any case, I did the downgrade earlier this morning, without issue. Rebuilt the data dictionary, then did a full export to /dev/null to see if any objects came out corrupt. Nada. Received on Tue Aug 18 1998 - 13:11:05 CDT
