Can a SELECT statement build up a rollback segment?

Can a SELECT statement build up a rollback segment?

Obviously, INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE do but is there any way that SELECT query would build up rollback space. Of course, SELECT query may _use_ a rollback for read consistency... but that's not the same thing as building up rollback space. Received on Sat Aug 01 1998 - 13:43:28 CDT
