I'm trying to install Oracle Server 8.0.3 on Irix 6.4, and I got an "Error
while creating database!" notification. After I checked the logs, I found
the reason. The error occured when the Installer tries to "connect internal",
and then SVRMGR asks it for a password two times (when I said at the
installation to NOT to set password for internal users), and then said:
"ORA-01031: insufficient privileges". I had followed the instructions,
so I was installed the server as user "oracle" with group "dba", and I gave
all the privileges to group "dba". I checked everything in the official docs,
faqs, newsgroups, and I have found nothing... :(( Anyone can help me? If
I choose at the beginning to NOT create database objects, only install
the software, then it installs it correctly, but after I tried to do
the databases manually, and I got the same error... :((
