We are writing an application with quite a number of third party libraries, all of which have been compiled and linked with n32 option on the SGI. This application needs to use Oracle libraries for embedded SQL, but we suddenly find that Oracle libraries have been compiled and archived with n32. Oracle support have suggested that we set the env variable SGI_ABI to -n32 and reinstall Oracle, but this has not worked, since it seems that some of the object files that come with Oracle are o32 (we have Oracle 8.0.3). Anyone had the same problem and solved it? Regards,
Ronnie
ps note that we are trying to make Oracle n32, not o32 which is easy. Received on Wed Jul 15 1998 - 00:33:57 CDT
