Wow, that could be a "bad scene" man! What happens if the user has tables? They're gone. Of course if they don't then it is true that you could just use Security Manager.

If you're moving a glorified user (one owning tables, i.e. a "schema"):

  1. Create the new user account
  2. Export (either full or just the original user, say user1)
  3. Import using fromuser/touser options (imp fromuser=user1 touser=user2 ....)
