Hello everybody,

my problem concerning Oracle 8 is the following:

I have to create a column where 512 UNICODE characters have to be stored in.

Now my questions:
1. Do I have to use 'NVARCHAR (512)' or 'NVARCHAR (1024)' (or anything else) ?
2. How do I tell Oracle to store the strings in UNICODE ? 3. If the answer in 1. is 'NVARCHAR (1024)': is there any possibilty to make it a key with a size superior to 749 characters ? (I need such big keys because they represent a globally unique distinguished name ;-)

Regards,

Christian.
