I wanted to know if anyone has any experience backing up large databases that are using EMC drives w/ timefinder (utilizing BCV's)? We are also installing SQLBACKTRACK from BMC and wanted to utiliize the SQLBACKTRACK with the BCV's that EMC technology provides via timefinder. The Oracle/EMC whitepaper recommends not using timefinder (BCV's) as your only backup strategy. The ultimate requirement is HOT backups as quickly as possible w/ little impact to online users or nightly batch processes. Received on Wed Jul 01 1998 - 12:46:26 CDT
