Installation issues - Oracle 7.3.4 on Solaris 2.6

Installation errors occur:

ERROR: The 'CREATE DATABASE' statement for the PDBS database failed. egrep failed to find '%create_db_key_words%' in the file: /oracle/admin/PDBS/create/crdbPDBS.lst.

The file crdbPDBS.lst reads:

connected to an idle instance.
ORA-07331: smsnsg: unable to allocate the variable portion of the SGA. Additional information: 4
create database "PDBS"
*
ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
Disconnected.
