ODBC 2.5 and Paradox 5 etc

Can anyone help me with a rather plain error message. I can use SQL queries OK but when I try to view a table or put a table in a form, I get the message

[oracle][Oracle driver] Driver not capable.

I have the latest ODBC driver and have tried Paradox 5 and Access 2.

The client is basically the latest 7.3 16 bit version and the server is 8.0 running on netware.

I turned on ODBC call trace log and all goes well until a call has some unprintable characters in it. All other lines appear OK.

Is this a problem someone else has seen (and fixed)?
