Hi!

I am confronted with a deadlock problem on an Oracle 7.3.4.0.0 database running on Windows NT 4.0.

The errors are reported in the alert.log and trace files (ora*.trc).

Can anyone explain on how to interpret these trace files ? Any help on the trace files is very welcome, especially about the exact meanings of the deadlock graph. Example:

Deadlock graph:

                       ---------Blocker(s)-------- ---------Waiter(s)---------
Resource Name process session holds waits process session holds waits
TM-000006ae-00000000 8 6 S SSX 9 8 S SSX
TM-000006ae-00000000 9 8 S SSX 8 6 S SSX

Rows waited on:
Session 8: no row
Session 6: no row
