Lynn,

You mentioned that you added memory and CPU, I am assuming that your DBA adjusted your oracle initialization parameters to make use of these additions??? If not, Oracle will not sense more memroy and give better results. You can also use Oracle's Performance Pack tuning expert to generate the necessary scripts ...
