We are using WinNT 4.0, Service Pack 2, MS-SQL Server 6.5 and BaanIVb. The first few shakes of BaanIV-Beta, BaanIVa and SQLServer was shakey. With some fine tuning of our Compaq Proliant server, SQLServer and BaanIVb. We needed a combination of Baan and Compaq staff to help set us up properly. Following many hours of live stress testing with actual humans (not the regular s/w simulated stress tests which were not reliable markers of system integrity) and post-test data analysis the Compaq and Baan fellows were able to resolve even the SQLServer page-locking issues.

There are still a few gotcha's largely due to the immaturity of WinNT as a server platform (as compared to UNIX), but for the most part we are running our business systems (Baan, IIS, ...) from the NT platform. Be aware that Baan IV BackOffice is not much more than a recompiled straight port from UNIX and as such, lacks some of the functionality of the UNIX version.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
