I can't get a copy of the official document fast enough. Can someone tell me for certain

  1. if ranges of IP addrs can be used in the invited_nodes list
  2. if hostnames can be used, or are to be avoided for easy spoofing, or are just plain useless

I'm at SQL*Net 3.3.2 with Oracle 7.3 on Solaris 2.5
