Moving Cooked to Raw - How?

Oracle gurus,

I have a customer that created some Oracle partitions using file systems, the rest of the database uses raw devices. I would like to move the data from the "files" into appropriately sized raw partitions to bring everything into the fold. Does anyone have any procedures for doing this? Is is basically just using dd to move the data, then reassign the partitions in the tablespace?

BTW This is running on AIX 4.1.2 with Oracle 7.2.?
