Hi,

    Other than o/s specific commands, there isn't anything, unless your talking about "lsnrctl status service_name", which assumes the listener is up and configured, that the services are actually connected to db's, etc.. The only thing in Oracle under a common thread would be the listener or (of course) if several db's are connected via replication or links, etc.. Greg
