How to kill Oracle connection?

Hi, All

Can anybody tell me how to kill a closed Oracle connection on Windows NT ?

Several applications are connected to Oracle 7.3 on Windows NT and one of them should be killed because of Time-out. But when one main process is killed, the corresponding Oracle connection thread will not be killed automatically!

The question is:

How to find out which Oracle thread is from your application?    and How to kill it?

Thanks a lot for help.

Xu
