stored procs

Hello.
Probably my question is dull.
I use client, which periodically (twice per min) invokes at the server side stored procedure scanning several tables and making report.
Why RAM used by the client process slow but constantly increases (1M/hour)? Is it bug associated with
stored proc - I'm using version 7.3.
Why server logging this process - I do not using any updates in this procs - only selects?
