If your machine / application is running fine with MTS turned on, why do you want to turn it off ??

Anyway - you have a fairly huge SGA (which is necessary with MTS enabled). If you disable MTS, then the client-processes will use their "own" memory, so you can shrink your SGA.

Also, consider using VMTUNE and SCHEDTUNE.

BTW.: we use a J40 with 4 processors and 512 MB Ram; there area around 80 users connected.

We use a mix of MTS and non-MTS clients; MTS is used for small transactions and short-running utilities.
