I am very new to ORACLE.
I installed ORACLE7 WORKGROUP SERVER v7.3.2.2.0 on a Novell Netware v3.12 Server. After that I created a database with 12 tables and some indexes. I did that from a Windows95 machine with SQLPlus v3.3

The problem started, when I tried to create a table with 24 coloms.
I couldn't do this from my client (SQLPlus hung), so I did it on the server.

Now I try to access this table from Windows95 with the following statement (very simple): SELECT * FROM PATSTAMM and SQLPlus hangs again.
Other tools (such as Worksheet) hang , too!

Using this (simple) statement on other tables in this database is NO PROBLEM. I suppose it could be a problem with SQLNet, because accessing the table
on the Netware Server's SQLPlus tool works with no problem!

Can anyone help me solving this problem?

Here are some informations about the configuration: ORACLE7 WORKGROUP SERVER v7.3.2.2.0 on Novell Netware 3.12 SQLNet Release on the Server is 2.3.2.1.0 SQLNet Release on my client is 2.3.2.1.4

Please answer me by email: andreas.strott_at_uni-essen.de
