Installing Online Documentation

Dear all,

we tried to postinstall the Oracle 7.3.4 Online Docu for a Solaris 2.6 system according to the Oracle 7 Installation Guide, Release 7.3.4 page 4-15.

The following steps were performed:

1. we installed the Installer on our file system
2. ORACLE_DOC is choosen as $ORACLE_HOME/doc
3. we started the Installer, where Custom Install, Install, Upgrade or De-Install S/W and the Install Docu Only options were choosen
4. on the Software Asset Manager the products for which we want the docu were selected
5. during the installation this message appeared:

   Notification: tk21.ins(220): Unbound variable 'CD_Doc_Inst_File'

   Then the S/W Asset manager screen appeared again.

6. after deselecting the 'Oracle Server Manager (Motif)' product the message

   above disappeared and we answered 'NO' to all further questions i.e.

   SQL*NET is already installed. Select YES to re-install, NO to skip.
......
......

7. the Installer notified us that it had completed the task.

As described in the guide we expected all the docu files in the $ORACLE_DOC dir but only a file named 'products.htm' with 0 bytes was there!

What went wrong with our installation?
