'Coalesce' indexes tablespace pre-7.3

new (to oracle - actually have been on the planet for quite some time) geek here.

running 7.1 and have a tablespace that is pure indexes. it is running low on freespace and is honeycombed.

well, ya can't export/import a ts; and i can't export/import index objects (without going thru trickery and deceipt, you know what i mean). so, i drop all the indexes (except a couple of pk's that i need up), and recreate them. very minimal effect on the problem.

adding space will put off the freespace problem, but it won't do much for the honeycomb problem.
