Oracle 8.0.3 Client on Windows 95 CRASH

I have installed Oracle 8.0.3 client for Windows 95 on a PC with Windows 95 OEM version 4.00.950.B.

Each time the test in Net 8 Easy Config is run, or any application (eg SQL*Plus, SQL*Navigator) started, an identical crash occurs due to an invalid memory access. Unfortunately, the module (eg a dll) in which the invalid access occurs is not identified.

Any ideas ?
