Import Database from Another OS

A client has provided me an Export file of their database from an AIX server. I have the same version of Oracle on NT 3.51 (both are Oracle 7.3). When I try to import the databse, it appears to fail due to the AIX path designations in the Export file. Quesstions:

  1. Is there another/better bcakup format that I should use to transfer copy the database from AIX to NT?
  2. Are there parameters on the Export function that should be set differently when creating the Export file; or on the Import function when importing the database?

Please e-mail response to gslade_at_sullygroup.com.

Any help greatly appreciated.
