ODBC and user identified externally

Hello,

we want to use the ORACLE feature "Integrating Database User Authentication with Windows NT". Therefore we made the needed changes in initSID.ora, defined the user according the documentation, logged in with sql+ with user-id "/", and it worked fine.

BUT: Our application normaly uses ODBC for accessing the Database. When we connect with "/", our application simply hangs up: SQLConnect never returns.

Should the feature "user identified externally" also work with ODBC ??

We're using Oracle 7.3 with INTERSOLV ODBC-driver.

Thanks in advance
