I have seen the error occur, usually when the client Required Support Files, (RSF), and either the client SQL*Net or Server version are out of sync. Another cause has been duplicate DLLs. Look in the NT\SYSTEM32 directory and remove any copies of: OCIW32.DL
ORA73.DLL
CORE35.DLL
COREO35.DLL These should only reside in the ORANT\BIN directory, the ones in the SYSTEM32 were placed there by 3rd party software, (Microsoft does this with some of the products they install). Received on Mon May 04 1998 - 09:24:09 CDT
