Hi all,
I'm running Oracle 7.3.4 on a Digital Unix system v4.0d. For the last
couple of days I have been trying to extend my SGA past 1gb and have been
unsuccessful. As soon as I go over 1gb the Oracle instance fails to start
with the following error:
SVRMGR> startup
Internal AIO consistency error: Cannot initialize aio library.
Error 35: Operation would block Aborting...
From the alert log

Errors in file /u01/app/oracle/product/7.3.4/rdbms/log/ora_1136.trc:
ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [6] [0] [0] [0] [] []

Starting ORACLE instance (normal)
The instance then creates a trace file and core dumps. This problem seems to have Oracle stumped. I assume other people have been able to go past this 1gb limit that I'm hitting..
