It apears to be a bug. In 7.3.4 it should be fixed and from then on the DDO feature in oranames should work. I did not verify this but it's wat oracle-support told me.

The only required configuration file is listener.ora with USE_PLUG_AND_PRAY = TRUE. ;-)
