Oracle server on Solaris x86

My employer has decided he wants to move away from proprietary architectures such as HP's and SPARCs, to embrace open standards such as Intel (yeah, whatever). Until yesterday he was totally sold on NT, but has since been convinced to look at Solaris.

So, anyone have any experiences, good or bad, with Oracle server running on a Solaris x86 box? We're probably talking about 7.3.3 on Soalris 2.6 at the moment...

Feel like contrasting it with Oracle on NT? I'm all ears.

Thanks much!
