Possible to text-search in long raws at the server side

Hi!



Does anyone know about a possibility to perform simple string searches in a 
(binary) long raw column on the server-side, using for example a pl-sql 
procedure? Fetching all rows and searching on the client sounds not very 
efficient to me. Thanks for any suggestions!
