Hi

I have two systems with the same configuration :

On the two systems there are the same applications that use Oracle 7.3.2.3 server with the same data and the same parameters. The application is not client server but terminal emulation.

Well, the same query on system A have an elapsed time of 4 seconds, on the system B of 40 seconds. More, in the system B when i leave the screen page to call another one the system wait 20 seconds.

In the v$session_wait i can see for the first action that oracle wait on the "log sync" event and in the second action (leave the screen) oracle wait for "rdbms ipc reply" event.

Somebody can tell me why ?

P.S. Naturally, system B is the production system.

Thanks in advance
Alessandro
