Oracle memory issue

Does anyone have any ideas on how to handle the following: Oracle 6 will not work(or so it seems) with 64 meg of RAM. Is there any way around this, or a way to fool the system into thinking it only has 32 meg ? (We are in a DOS environment.) When we try to start Oracle with 64 meg, it just locks during loading.. With 32 meg, it is fine

Thanks,
Dan Miller
