Hi:

We have been using NT for a couple of years. Over the past 1 year, I believe we have had 4 instance crashes between 2 instances (2 different boxes). My feeling is that is pretty stable if the DBA is good and the O/S person is good, but I don't think it's at the unix/run-it-for-years-without-rebooting point just yet.

If you want some benchmark information, check out the Transaction Processing Performance Council's web-site at www.tpc.org. Good info to make informed decisions from.
