I'm running several instances of ORACLE 7.3.3.5.0 on Aix machines.  In the
configSID.ora files I have a destination specified for the CORE_DUMP_DEST
parameter, but any core dumps are placed in the $ORACLE_HOME/dbs directory.
Can anyone tell me why the directory specified by the CORE_DUMP_DEST
parameter is not being used?
